On Thursday, May 26, 2016, the Harvard Gender & Sexuality Caucus held its 2016 Annual Commencement Dinner! Professor Diana L. Eck and the Reverend Dr. Dorothy A. Austin and Lowell House hosted the event.

Since 1982, the Annual Dinner has served as an important recognition of and for LGBTQ life at Harvard. Held on Commencement Day, the dinner is an intergenerational celebration for new graduates, returning alumni and alumnae, and Harvard faculty and staff. It’s a wonderful opportunity to foster the broad representation across the University that the Caucus hopes to achieve.

The HGSC also takes the occasion to honor individuals who have made important contributions to the LGBTQ community. You can see lists of past speakers and previous award recipients on our website. This year we were honored to welcome former Houston Mayor Annise Parker and City of Cambridge Mayor E. Denise Simmons as our discussion panelists, with former Cambridge Mayor Kenneth E. Reeves serving as moderator.
