HGSC Mentorship Program
We’re excited to launch the HGSC Mentorship Program, designed to create meaningful connections across our LGBTQ+ community and tap into the incredible breadth of experiences, perspectives, and life stages represented within HGSC.
Participants can sign up to be a mentor, mentee, or both. You certainly do not need to
be at a particular career level or have formal mentoring experience to participate as a
mentor.
As with any mentorship experience, participants will get out of the program what they
put into it. We hope everyone will approach their pairing with openness, curiosity, and a
willingness to invest in building a meaningful connection.
Program Commitment
The HGSC Mentorship Program will run through June. To help build a meaningful
relationship, we encourage mentor-mentee pairs to connect approximately once a
month, recognizing that schedules and circumstances may occasionally require
flexibility.
If you are interested, please complete the interest form by Friday, September 4. We will
do our best to create thoughtful pairings based on participants’ goals, experiences,
interests, and what they are hoping to get out of the relationship.
We plan to announce matches in mid-September, followed by a brief virtual kickoff
session to bring participants together, share the goals of the program, discuss
expectations and tips for building a successful mentorship relationship, and help
everyone get started.
