June Pride Events: A recap

June 2025 was an exciting month for Harvard students, alumni and LGBTQ+ communities, marked by a series of engaging Pride events across the country. Let’s look back at the highlights:

Harvardwood LA Pride Party on June 3, 2025

The third annual Harvardwood LA Pride Party marked a vibrant and energetic kickoff to Pride Month in Los Angeles, bringing together a diverse group of Harvard alumni, allies, and industry professionals for an evening of networking, celebration, and community building. This highly anticipated event created a welcoming space where attendees could connect not only socially but also professionally, fostering meaningful relationships within the entertainment and creative industries.

HGSC Reunion Meetup at the QuOffice on June 6, 2025

Although the highly anticipated annual dinner was unfortunately canceled this year, a small but spirited group of Harvard alumni still found a meaningful way to come together and celebrate. On June 6, from 3 to 5 p.m., several alumni gathered at the Office of BGLTQ Student Life for a special reunion meetup that offered a more intimate and personal setting for connection. The event offered a guided tour of the Office of BGLTQ Student Life, allowing attendees to see the space dedicated to supporting and empowering LGBTQ+ students on campus. This tour provided a meaningful backdrop for conversations about the progress and ongoing work within the Harvard LGBTQ+ community. Following the tour, alumni had the opportunity to reconnect with old friends, share stories, and forge new bonds with fellow graduates who share a commitment to fostering inclusion and pride.

NYC Pride Happy Hour with Harvardwood, HBAS and H4A on June 12, 2025

Harvardwood, the Harvard Black Alumni Society (HBAS), the Harvard Asian American Alumni Alliance (H4A), and the Harvard Gender and Sexuality Caucus (HGSC) came together to co-host a vibrant Pride Month happy hour in New York City on June 12, 2025. This event marked the first opportunity for these groups to reunite since the pandemic, creating a joyful and uplifting atmosphere, and providing an inclusive and welcoming space for alumni, students, and allies to connect, celebrate, and honor the diversity of the LGBTQ+ community within the Harvard network. The happy hour was free and open to all current members of the participating alumni groups, reflecting a commitment to fostering connection and celebration across identities during Pride Month.

DC Pride Happy Hour with Queer Princeton Alumni on June 10, 2025
Harvard and Princeton queer alumni came together in Washington, D.C., for a World Pride happy hour at Shakers.
This special intercollegiate event brought together graduates from two of the nation’s most prestigious institutions, creating a unique opportunity to build bridges and foster meaningful connections across their respective alumni networks. The event not only provided a welcoming space for queer alumni to celebrate their identities and achievements but also helped strengthen friendships and professional ties, reinforcing the power of unity and collaboration within the queer community.
